Illness forces Scott County Schools to close on Monday

The omicron variant is creating instability within the nation’s school districts. At times, that is causing some schools to temporarily close.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Scott County Schools will be closed on Monday due to staff illness.

That's according to an email sent to families on Sunday.

The note emphasizes this is not an NTI day.

The test-to-stay program will still be open from 8 am to 11 am on Monday at five schools.

This school closure will be made up on Friday, March 18.
