WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A federal inmate who reportedly walked away from a work release program is back in custody and facing a new charge of escape.

Joshua Vincent, 36, had nearly completed his sentence on drug and gun charges, when he was transferred to the Warren County Jail in April in order to begin readjusting to society.

But in August, after Vincent was released to search for jobs during the day, he failed to return to jail.

Vincent was re-arrested on September 3.

Vincent has now been indicted on a charge of escape and will appear in court on September 25 for his arraignment.
