(LEX 18) — A Louisville teacher is going viral after he carried a student on his back so she didn't have to miss out on a class field trip.

According to the girl's parents, the school Ryan attends went to the Falls of the Ohio State Park in Indiana. Ryan, who has Spina Bifida, thought she might have to miss out because Falls of the Ohio isn’t necessarily accessible to someone in a wheelchair. Spina Bifida affects the spine and spinal cord.

That's when teacher, Jim Freeman, stepped in. He carried Ryan on his back over the rough terrain so she could attend the trip with her classmates.

"I was preparing for an “alternate field trip day” when a male teacher reached out and said 'I’m happy to tote her around on the falls all day!," wrote Ryan's mother.
