(LEX 18) — A Kentucky climber and engineer is hosting an interesting climbing competition next weekend in the Red River Gorge in Muir Valley.

In an article here, Rick Weber says he was inspired by President Donald Trump's Press Conference at the Boarder, during which he said the wall being built would be "impossible to climb."

Weber built a structure to emulate the President's design of parallel posts with a plate on top.

Weber and several other climbers believe someone in Kentucky will be able to reach the top, despite the President's claim that 20 experienced climbers have tried and no one reached the top.

Kim Nguien, a climber, said this of the competition, "I mean it's a very unusual structure, and not very typical of what we climb, but I imagine people will be able to figure it out."

The competition will be held on October 11 and 12.
