(LEX 18) — Kentucky crushed Tennessee in this year's Big Blue Crush Blood Drive and they are bringing the trophy back to the Bluegrass.
Kentucky closed out the annual donation drive with a bang on Friday with 651 donations to Tennessee's 416 donations.
That brought the final score to 2,894 for the Kentucky Blood Center and 1,999 for Medic Regional Blood Center.
Kentucky now leads the rivalry 18 to 13 with one tie.
Big Blue Crush ensures an adequate blood supply for the Thanksgiving holiday and into December.
