SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Kentucky man has admitted that he was plotting a shooting at his old high school.
Dylan Jarrell was arrested in October of 2018 when troopers found him armed with a gun, several hundred rounds of ammo and a detailed plan to attack Shelby County High School.
Jarrell initially pleaded not guilty, but he has changed his plea.
Now the 22-year-old has admitted to planning and preparing an act of violence against people who were inside of his old high school.
Jarrell also admitted to making an alternative plan to kill someone, then himself, in a murder-suicide.
Jarrell's sentencing has been scheduled on April 1.
