CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man who is facing federal charges in western Kentucky has now been faced with an escape charge following an incident that sounds like it came out of the movies.

Creadell Hubbard was charged in August 2019 with possession of a firearm and body armor, despite a previous felony conviction.

He was being held in the Christian County jail when he disappeared on Oct. 22.

Jail security video allegedly showed Hubbard getting into the air ducts to make his way to the roof, then use bed sheets tied together to climb down and flee.

Hubbard was recaptured two days later.

He has now been charged with escape, on top of the other charges.
