MADISON CO., Ky (LEX 18) — Kentucky House District 88 candidate, Monteia Mundy, has been charged with DUI in Madison County.
Mundy was arrested at midnight on Saturday after she crashed her car into a ditch of a shell gas station on Lexington Road in Richmond.
According to an arrest citation, witnesses say they saw Mundy driving on the wrong side of the road against oncoming traffic on Lexington Road before crashing into the ditch.
State troopers say Mundy was incoherent and mentioned that someone hit her vehicle and didn't know what happened.
Mundy said she had been drinking at her friend's house and shouldn't have been drinking.
