Missing juvenile found, woman charged with kidnapping

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — According to Sheriff Deputy Elijah Broughton, the missing juvenile from Knox County was found on Tuesday morning.

Jacob Boyd was last seen around 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. He was last seen on Jans Lane in Boone Heights.

According to police, Boyd told his mother that he was going to play basketball at Central Elementary School and never came back.

Broughton said that Boyd was found at his girlfriend's grandmother's home in Corbin.

According to police, Boyd was found hiding in a closet in the basement.

Boyd was not being held against his will, but the grandmother, Darlene Elliott, has been charged with kidnapping.

Boyd told police that Elliott picked him up and brought him to the Skinner Lane residence where he was found.

Elliott was arrested and taken to the Knox County Detention Center.
