PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police were called to a shooting in Perry County on Sunday afternoon.
Police responded to a reported shooting in the Slemp Community in Perry County.
According to investigators, Darrell Cress and Jim Slone were involved in a fight in the parking lot of the Front Porch General Store. Police said that Slone shot Cress once in the chest.
Cress was flown to a hospital in Tennessee with non-life threatening injuries.
Slone was arrested and charged with first degree assault.
