Large rockfall forces Kentucky road to close

KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Kentucky road has closed down after a rockfall.

The rockfall occurred on mile marker 4 of KY 160 in Knott County.

A main waterline was busted. The road will not open up until the water line has been repaired.

According to Keith Buckhout, a spokesperson with KYTC, no injuries have been reported.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises the closure will last four to five hours.
