LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — It has been a difficult six months for members of Now Faith Worship Center in Lexington after they lost their pastor.
The center lost Elder Arlester Washington in April 2019 from a car accident. But, the members of the center are now keeping his legacy alive by dedicating their new fellowship hall in his name.
This new area will allow them to host events and gatherings like the one they had on Saturday.
"It's real special," said member William Russell. "I felt the legacy of my pastor. He left a great legacy, not just for us as a church body, but for the city of Lexington and beyond."
A plaque with Washington's name on it was placed on the door and at the entrance.
