LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Laurel County woman is in jail after sheriff's officials say she brutally beat a 2-year-old child.
Dana Casey, 23, was arrested in Warren County, Tennessee on a Laurel County warrant. Casey has been indicted on first degree criminal abuse.
Deputies from Laurel County extradited Casey to Kentucky where she will arraigned on the charge related to the assault of the toddler. The child suffered severe injuries, officials say.
Casey was lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
