LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington man is in jail after being accused of trying to steal beer from Thornton's gas station on North Broadway.
Cory Morton, 33, is accused of entering the store and grabbing three alcoholic beverages before leaving without paying.
The store manager followed Morton outside and retrieved the beverages. However, Morton returned to the store and when the manager blocked his path to the cooler, Morton allegedly shoved the manager twice. Morton was the arrested outside the store a short time later.
Police say he was drinking an alcoholic beverage when they arrived. Morton is charged with second-degree Robbery
