(LEX 18) — According to the Conde Nast Traveler, Lexington is the ninth friendliest city in America.

“Lexington might be the Horse Capital of the World, home to the Kentucky Horse Park and the Keeneland Race Course, but the horses are only one part of the picture. Thanks to its location on the the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, there are distilleries, of course, but also spectacular dining to pair with your cocktails. Despite being the state’s second largest city by population, Lexington has a small-town community atmosphere, which we attribute to the friendly locals.”

Here's the rest of the Top-10:

1. Savannah, Georgia
2. Alexandria, Virginia
3. Boulder, Colorado
4. Charleston, South Carolina
5. Chattanooga, Tennessee
6. Asheville, North Carolina
7. Key West, Florida
8. Burlington, Vermont
9. Lexington. Kentucky
10. Santa Fe, New Mexico
