LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department reported that one person is in custody and another was injured in a shooting and burglary that happened around 3:00 a.m. Monday on Reims Road.
According to police, when they arrived on the scene, they learned that the victim and suspect knew each other and were in an altercation prior to the shots being fired.
Police said that the victim suffered a non-life-threatening wound and was taken to a local hospital.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene but was later located and identified as 36-year-old Giuseppe Presutto.
Presutto, according to police, is charged with first-degree burglary and booked in the Fayette County Detention Center.
