LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington's Recycling Center will be shutting down for about two weeks in January to make some improvements.
City officials said that they will be upgrading with a new conveyor belt and fire protection system between Jan. 6 and Jan. 19.
This is part of a $2 million investment into the recycling center, which began earlier this year.
Until the work is done, Lexington recommends people hold their recycling until service resumes on the week of Jan. 20.
Despite this, paper recycling is still unavailable until further notice.
