LMPD searching for suspect they say killed father with crossbow

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police in Louisville are searching for a man they say killed his father with a crossbow.

According to WDRB, police were called to Petty Jay Court for reports of a domestic disturbance. Officers says 23-year-old Gerald Beavers III, shot his father with a crossbow. A second female victim was also assaulted.

Beavers' father died from his injuries. Police are looking for Beavers, who they believe may be headed for North Carolina in a 2002 red Honda Civic. The license plate reads 332 YRT.

He is still in possession of the crossbow.
