LEXINGTON, Ky. — Decorated racehorse trainer Bob Baffert told Santa Anita Park Saturday the Kentucky Derby may be postponed for months.
He said, "Churchill (Downs) is saying they’re not going to run the Derby without the people there, so I’m hearing maybe June or in September..."
In reference to the Masters at Augusta National being postponed Baffert explained, "I’ve never seen anything like this, it’s kinda scary. Hopefully they can get everything under control.”
Churchill Downs said an update on the status of the Kentucky Derby can be expected next week.
