LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department has released over 20 minutes of body cam footage from Saturday's arrests made in downtown Lexington.
The following is a tweeted statement released from the LPD:
Five protesters were arrested after allegedly disobeying orders given by officers to not block the streets.
Other protesters who witnessed the arrests claimed that the arrests were unjust and that police treated them poorly.
Among those arrested were two organizers, sisters April Taylor and Sarah Williams.
Taylor and Williams were recently named in a lawsuit by former Police Chaplain Donovan Stewart.
