Man must do community service at animal shelter after being accused of stealing their donation jar

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18/NEWS JOURNAL) — A Corbin man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a donation jar from an animal shelter.

The News Journal reported that video surveillance from Sav-Rite Home Care shows the Knox-Whitley Humane Association donation jar being stolen on Friday.

Deputies later caught up with 36-year-old Troy Grubb.

Grubb has been charged with theft by unlawful taking.

Grubb plead guilty in Knox County District Court on Monday and was given a $143 fine and 120 hours of community service with the Knox-Whitley Humane Association.
