BELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Bell County man was arrested on Christmas Day after he was allegedly caught breaking into a home, then held at gunpoint by the resident's son.
When deputies arrived at the home, they found 38-year-old Harold Jones held at gunpoint inside a shed.
Jones reportedly told deputies that he had been involved in a dispute with the residents of the home and just wanted to get away from them.
But, police said he had a jewelry box with an assortment of jewelry belonging to the homeowner in this possession.
He had also packed two suitcases with more jewelry along with other items.
Jones has now been faced with burglary and other charges.
