WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Woodford County man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison on federal drug charges.

Damon Hardy of Versailles was sentenced on Friday to 190 months in prison.

He had previously pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and fentanyl with the intent to distribute.

Hardy's criminal history played a role in the stiff sentence.

He has previously been convicted of heroin trafficking and assaulting an officer.

There is no parole for federal charges and he will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.
