A judge on Tuesday, entered a not guilty plea for 30-year-old Keaira Pennie, the woman accused of shooting and killing 42-year-old Edwin Haddix on Bryan Station Road on the night of Aug. 10.

The Fayette County Coroner's Office has released the identity of the man who police say was shot on Bryan Station Road late Sunday night and later died at the hospital.

According to the coroner's office, the man was identified as 42-year-old Edwin Haddix of Lexington.

The coroner's office says he died from "multiple gunshot wounds," and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

Monday morning, Lexington police reported that 30-year-old Keaira Pennie was arrested and is charged with murder in connection to the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Lexington Police Department.

The Lexington Police Department reports that the man who was shot on Bryan Station Road late Sunday night has died from his injuries, and a woman has been charged with murder.

According to police, 30-year-old Keaira Pennie was arrested a short time later in connection to the shooting and was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
