CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — As former Blackjewel miners continue their protest by camping on the train tracks in Harlan County, supporters in Clay County have planned to march for the miners from their county.
The event, March for Miners, has been planned to begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Eastern Kentucky University campus branch in Manchester.
Marchers said they will have signs of support for the Clay County miners that worked for Blackjewel in Harlan County.
The march is expected to end at the middle school.
The event is open to the public.
