BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A massive fire caused an entire city in Breckinridge County to shelter in place.

The five-alarm fire started on Monday in a storage building at an agricultural business in Hardinsburg.

Officials said nearly 300 tons of fertilizer burned.

People in the immediate fire zone were ordered to evacuate.

The rest of the city was asked to stay indoors, close windows and doors, and shut off ventilation.

Breckinridge County Schools canceled all after-school activities because of the fire.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

That shelter in place was lifted on Monday afternoon.
