SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE/LEX 18) — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in Shelby County on Monday morning.
The earthquake happened near Waddy, Kentucky around 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
According to WAVE, officials with the Shelby County and Kentucky Emergency Management said that no damage has been reported.
The USGS said that a 2.4 magnitude earthquake is considered a minor earthquake and will only be felt by some people.
