CARROLL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has scheduled a visit to Carroll County.
McConnell has announced a visit to Ghent, Kentucky on Monday, Nov. 11. He plans on meeting with the workers at North American Stainless.
McConnell led a bipartisan Senate vote in early 2019 that regarded the ratification of tax treaties. This provided relief from double taxation on American companies, like North American Stainless.
Cris Fuentes, the CEO of North American Stainless, thanked McConnell for "his tireless efforts" in an opinion piece by the Courier Journal in Louisville.
