The Rowan County Coroner's Office reports that a death investigation is underway after a man was found unresponsive on Thursday morning at Morehead City Park.
According to the coroner's office, the man was identified as 47-year-old Matthew Ludwig, a native of San Francisco, California, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner's office states that, at this time, no foul play is suspected; however, officials are continuing to investigate.
According to the coroner's office, the body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

Officials report that the Morehead city park has reopened.

On Thursday, the Morehead Police Department reported that the city park is closed until further notice due to unknown reasons at this time.
The closure includes walking and all activities, police added.
