MT. VERNON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Mount Vernon firefighters assisted with a house fire on Shug Road early Sunday morning, battling flames in bitterly cold conditions.
The Mount Vernon Fire Department responded around 2 a.m. to help the Western Rockcastle Volunteer Fire Department with the fire. Six Mount Vernon firefighters provided support using an engine, tanker truck and special response vehicle.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
