(LEX 18) — Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day and Kentucky State Police are encourage people to participate as a way to combat drug abuse and misuse.
The program allows people to remove potentially dangerous medications from their homes and dispose of them safely.
All 16 Kentucky State Police Posts will be acting as collection sites and will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26.
The campaign has resulted in millions of pounds of opioids and other medications.
