UPDATE:

Authorities say Isabel Hicks has been safely located and her alleged abductor, Bruce Lynch, is in custody.

ORIGINAL STORY:

BUMPASS, Va.—The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is working with Virginia law enforcement in the search for a missing 14-year-old girl.

The FBI says the teen, Isabel Shea Hicks, was last seen Monday at about 1 a.m. in her Bumpass home. Officials say the “endangered missing juvenile” is now believed to be in the company of 34-year-old Bruce William Lynch Jr.

Lynch is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 190 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and a beard. He is believed to be driving a silver-blue Toyota Matrix, VA tag VEM-9071.

Hicks was described as having blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds.

Investigators believe Isabel and Lynch may be staying in wooded areas conducive to camping.

Lynch should be considered armed and potentially dangerous. Contact law enforcement immediately – do not approach – if either Lynch or Isabel are spotted.
