NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — One home was destroyed and two others were significantly damaged after a fire in Jessamine County.
Crews responded to a call around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a fire on Cool Breeze Drive in Nicholasville. Firefighters said a trailer was fully engulfed when they arrived.
Firefighters say the trailer was a total loss, and the fire had spread to two other homes.
Two people were evacuated and taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. People in the other two homes could get out safely with the help of neighbors.
Jessamine County Fire District Chief Danny Eades says that the close spacing between the homes and the lack of water access was a challenge in fighting the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
