Officials and US CDC team heading to Lincoln County to assess public health impacts of explosion

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Local and state officials, along with a US CDC team are headed to Lincoln County to assess the public health impacts of the natural gas pipeline explosion from August.

The team there will be interviewing first responders, as well as residents living close to the blast site.

Officials said that they want to know the potential health impacts of a blast like this.

Team members will be wearing vests to identify themselves and will make three contacts at each home.
