One in critical condition after single ATV collision

BARREN CO., Ky. (LEX 18) — An 18 year old male was arrested and charged with DUI and a juvenile passenger was air lifted to the UofL Hospital Saturday after a single vehicle ATV accident in Barren County.

The Kentucky State Place investigated a single vehicle collision just after midnight on Bridgeport Keltner Road, located five miles north of Edmonton.

18 year old, Braxton Coomer of Columbia was driving a 2015 Polaris Razor east bound on KY 544 when he dropped off the shoulder of the roadway, lost control, struck a tree, and overturned several times.

Coomer was not injured, but he was arrested and charged with DUI 1st offense under the age of 21.

He was booked in the Barren County Jail. A juvenile passenger was air lifted to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Coomer and the juvenile were not wearing helmets or a seat belt.
