(WPSD/LEX 18) — Two people have been arrested in western Kentucky following a high-speed chase that started in Illinois, according to WPSD.
The chase happened on Saturday. McCracken County Sheriff's deputies were notified by police in Illinois that a vehicle was fleeing officers.
Roger Cummins, 52 of Harrisburg, Illinois, was driving a pickup truck at a high speed.
WPSD reported that deputies intercepted Cummins as he turned onto Coleman Road and deflated one of this tires using stop sticks.
Cummins made it onto I-24, went over an embankment and overturned in a ditch.
Cummins' passenger, 42-year-old Kimberly Towns from Ozark, Illinois, was found to have active warrants from both Kentucky and Illinois, according to WPSD.
Both were arrested and taken into custody.
