BELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Bell County man has been arrested on child porn charges.
Kentucky State Police arrested Jason Laws, 42, on Wednesday on charges of possessing or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Laws' arrest came as the result of an undercover investigation that began when officials discovered he was allegedly uploading images online.
Troopers raided his Middlesboro home and took equipment to be examined.
Laws has been charged with 20 counts of possessing or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor in the first degree. According to the press release, this charge is considered a Class D Felony and could result in one to five years in prison.
Laws is being held at the Bell County Detention Center.
