MONTICELLO, Ky. (LEX 18) — Monticello police had a rush of activity early Saturday morning, with reports of a suspected drunk driver, a crash and a theft all coming in within minutes of each other.

Police would end up arresting one man in all three incidents.

It all began around 1:45 a.m., with reports of a suspected drunk driver, followed quickly by the news that a car had crashed into another vehicle.

When police arrived at the scene, they determined that the two calls involved the same driver, who had fled on foot.

While still investigating those incidents, a report came in that a 1967 Pontiac Firebird had been stolen from a car lot.

Police found the car, leading to a brief chase that ended when the driver lost control and hit a curb.

The driver, 33-year-old Jonathan Dicken, was then arrested in connection with all three incidents.

Dicken has been charged with a DUI, fleeing police and leaving the scene of an accident.
