RICHMOND, Ky. (WBON) — A soldier stationed at the National Guard Armory in Richmond was arrested and accused of sexual abuse. The case may now be taken up by the Military.

According to WBON, Darren Wayne Turner is accused of touching the genitals of another soldier without consent. The citation states that Turner entered an area where several female soldiers were sleeping in the armory. The victim told investigators that Turner put his hand down her pants.

Turner admitted to being in the vault but denied sexually abusing anyone.

Turner was arrested and initially lodged in the Madison County Detention Center on charges of 1st Degree Sexual Abuse.

However, according to officials, Turner was released and the case seems to have been dismissed by the Madison County District Court, as the Military may take on the case as it occurred at the Armory between soldiers.
