LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington man who has already been accused of murder is now facing a new charge.

Jeremy Jackson, 21, has recently been charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Jackson has also been accused of shooting and killing Carroll "Marty" Martin, 51, on September 15.

On Friday, Jackson pleaded not guilty in court.

Police filed the evidence tampering charge after they said Jackson attempted to discard evidence while fleeing police before his arrest.

Jackson will be arraigned on the new charge on Monday.
