Police: Man arrested after allegedly pointing gun at family, threatening to kill them

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at his wife and son and threatening to kill them in Laurel County.

Deputies were called to the London home around 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

While on the way to the scene, deputies said that Rubin Lee Blansett, 76, had been disarmed and left on a four wheeler to get another gun.

When deputies arrived, they said they found Blansett and he was under the influence.

Blansett was arrested and charged with two counts of wanton endangerment, two counts of disorderly conduct and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

Blansett is being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.
