LONDON, Ky. (LEX 18) — On Wednesday around 2 p.m., two London police officers observed a man with an active arrest warrant walking near the Plantation apartments and started a pursuit that ended in an arrest.

The pursuit led police from South Laurel Road to KY 192 and Reams Lane where they arrested Marlow Baker, 34, of London.

Upon noticing police, Baker ran towards South Laurel Middle and High School, ran into a wooded area toward Taylor Circle Drive, went through another wooded area to Spring Valley Market on KY 363, according to police.

Dispatch then gave a tip that a man, who was confirmed as Baker by police, made a passerby drive to Dollar Tree on Childre's Drive. While heading into the area from KY 192, an officer watched Baker run from KY 192 behind the U.S. Postal Office.

Baker was charged with second degree fleeing or evading police and was lodged at the Laurel County Detention Center.
