OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE/LEX 18) — A man from Oldham County has been taken to jail and is facing several charges, including arson.
WAVE reported that police were called to a residence on Sunday after Richard Brown had allegedly set the home on fire with children inside.
When the emergency crews arrived, they also found loaded rifles that had been placed around the property.
Crews then found Brown hiding in a bush.
According to his arrest report, Brown fought with police when they found him hiding.
WAVE reported that everyone made it out of the residence safely.
Brown has been charged with arson, assault of an officer in the third degree, resisting arrest, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and wanton endangerment.
