RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Richmond received a call around 2 p.m. for shots fired on Gibson Lane, according to Assistant Police Chief Rodney Richardson.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found one male with a gunshot wound. The victim has been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is doing well, according to Richardson.
The suspect fled the scene. As of Tuesday afternoon, investigators do not have a suspect description.
Richardson said he doesn't know if the victim or the suspect live at the apartment complex on Gibson Lane. It is also unknown whether the suspect and victim know each other.
