Police: Meade County deputy jailer arrested after domestic dispute

(LEX 18) — A Meade County deputy jailer has been arrested after a domestic dispute in Breckinridge County, according to police.

On Friday, Kentucky State Police was notified of a domestic incident. KSP was told that someone had suffered a gunshot wound in the McDaniels Community in Breckinridge County.

Police said that Nicholas Peek, 29, of McDaniels shot Michael Kunick, 41, of Nicholasville during the dispute.

Kunick was flown to the University of Louisville hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was released later on.

Peek was arrested on Saturday and charged with first degree assault and first degree wanton endangerment.

Peek was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
