NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Nicholasville police are asking for the public's help after a series of thefts at the local Kohl's store.

Thanks to surveillance footage, police found a woman and possibly two others they think are responsible. But, they need the public's help in finding them.

At first glance, the video looks just like a normal day at Kohl's.

"When she enters the store, its seen that she goes through the aisles, she selects merchandise," said Detective Jason Fraddosio.

But, it is what happens after the first clips that has police looking for the woman.

"She'll either conceal it in her purse or on her person. And then she'll leave the last point of entry," said Fraddosio.

As the detective explained, shoplifting happens often in stores like this, but he said that this woman has done it more than once within the same month, with different people.

"On several occasions, there have been different males that have been with her inside the store. We don't necesarrily know that they are involved with the actual removing of the property, we do know that she is the one that's concealing it," said Fraddosio.

Police said they are trying to figure out why the men were with her.

"If you're bringing somebody in that you habitually steal from a department store, then sometimes that person can be the lookout. Then again, we try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and they may not know," said Fraddosio.

Whether they know or not, police want to talk to both men and the woman so they hope the community will help them find all three.
