LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A 15-year-old male suspect has been charged in connection with a shooting that happened on Kingtree Court on Friday.
The suspect, who Lexington Police said they cannot name because of his age, was arrested Friday and has been charged with murder.
Officers found the 17-year-old victim dead on Friday from a gunshot wound.
Investigators found that the suspect, victim and a third friend had been in possession of a handgun when the shooting happened.
Following the male suspect's arrest, he was taken to the Fayette Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
