SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — A woman has been charged after allegedly shooting through the drive thru window at a KFC restaurant in Shelbyville.
According to a press release from Shelbyville police, officers were dispatched to the KFC on Boone Station Road on Oct. 28, 2019.
Police said that, upon arrival, they found that no one was injured, even though there had been several employees and customers in the restaurant.
After an investigation, police identified the suspect and sent an arrest warrant and extradition request to the U.S. Marshals Office in Atlanta, Georgia.
On Tuesday, Nov. 26, Jonelle Jade Dare, 33, of Marietta, Georgia, was taken into custody by the Sandy Springs Georgia Police Department.
A weapon that fit the description of the one used at the KFC was found at the scene of the arrest.
