LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A portion of South Upper Street remains closed to traffic.
The closure is affecting the section of Upper between West High Street and Maxwell.
A Columbia Gas crew discovered a large hole underground around utility pipes while working to fix a natural gas leak.
Gravel is being used to fill in the hole.
The road will remain closed until repairs are completed. Traffic is being detoured off of South Upper onto West High, onto Mill Street, and then onto West Maxwell.
