President Trump's visit will affect downtown Louisville traffic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) - — If you are planning on trying to catch a glimpse of President Trump in downtown Louisville Wednesday, you should be aware that several streets will be closed.

President Trump is expected to land in Louisville around 1:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Air National Guard airport. Stops are scheduled for both the Seelbach Hotel and the Galt House.

The president is in town to campaign on behalf of Governor Matt Bevin. Trump is also scheduled to deliver remarks at the 75th AMVETS Convention

An exact list of streets that Trump's motorcade will drive along has not been released, as the route could vary. However, downtown streets near the Seelbach and Galt House. Road closures could be set up from River Road to the North to Chestnut Street to the South. There will also be no downtown street parking allowed.

If you are planning to visit, it's highly advised that you arrive downtown early. The events featuring President Trump carry a hefty price tag. One fundraiser has a $2000 minimum ticket price.
